Payment   Full payment is required 30 days prior to departure.  If payment is not received 30 days prior to date of pickup, the reservation will be cancelled and the booking deposit will be forfeited.  Payment can be made by cash or check.  Please make checks payable to “FOX RV Rentals”.

Security Deposit   The $500 reservation deposit is applied as a security deposit upon receipt of payment.  This deposit is refunded if the vehicle is returned on time, undamaged, clean, equipment complete, and holding tanks empty.  Security deposit refunds are mailed within 72 hours of vehicle return.

Cancellation Policy   If a booking is cancelled in the period shown in Column A, the amount payable is the amount shown in Column B or the amount in Column C, whichever is greater. Column C is the percentage of the total rental charges.

Pickups & Returns    Pickup days in Lethbridge are Monday, Wednesday, or Friday.  Pickup days in Medicine Hat are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, or Sunday.

Pick-ups begin at the top of the hour between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Your pick-up time must be pre-booked.  Time will be spent to acquaint you with the operation of the vehicle.  Please allow 45 to 60 minutes for instruction and paperwork.

Returns must be done before 11:00 am.  A late charge of $50 per hour will apply.

There will be no refund for early returns, late pick-ups, or unused kilometers.

Rental Period   Rental charges are based on the number of nights the motorhome is used.  Each night constitutes a rental day.  The minimum rental period is 3 nights in the low and mid seasons.  The minimum rental period is 7 nights in the high season.  Bookings for shorter periods in the high season may be accepted subject to availability between other bookings.  Please inquire.

Exterior Storage   Storing items on the vehicle roof or exteriors is not permitted.  A bicycle rack is available at no charge.  Please request at time of booking.

Drivers License / Drivers Age   All drivers must posses a driver’s license valid for the entire rental period.  The minimum age of drivers is 25.  Only drivers listed on the contract are allowed to drive.  There is no charge for additional drivers.

Maintenance  Engine oil, tire pressure, and coolant must be checked at each refuelling.  The renter assumes full responsibility for damage to tires.  Costs for oil will be refunded upon presentation of receipts.

Fuel   The vehicle is supplied with a full tank.  Please return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel.  The renter will be charged if less fuel is in the vehicle upon its return.  We make no representation as to fuel consumption.

Pets / Smoking   Sorry, no pets or smoking in the vehicle.  A $250 cleaning fee will apply.

Towing   Use of the vehicle to tow another vehicle, boat, or trailer must be expressly requested and authorized in writing on the rental agreement.   The renter must warrant that the towing weight is within tow weight restrictions. Fox RV is not responsible for any damage to vehicles that are being towed or mounted on the hitch.  The renter is responsible for any damage to the motorhome caused by the towed or hitch-mounted item.

Northern Surcharge   There is a surcharge of $500 for travel on gravel and dirt roads including the Alaska Highway north of Fort St. John, Cassiar Highway (#37) north of Kitwanga, Highway 35 north of Peace River, the Bella Coola Highway, and roads in The Yukon and Northwest Territories.  Rentals for such travel must be expressly requested and confirmed at the time of reservation.  Renters who travel to restricted areas without permission will be subject to a $900 penalty and void all insurance coverage.

Convenience Kit   Convenience kits are available at $99 per vehicle per booking.  Our convenience kit includes:  place setting for seven, silverware, can opener, toaster, kettle, coffee percolator, serving utensils, mixing bowls, pots and skillets, cutting board, cleaning supplies and chemicals.

Substitutions / Responsibility / Changes   We will make ever effort to provide the model requested.  We do reserve the right, however, to substitute models of similar or larger size.  If for any reason beyond our control the vehicle is not available, our only responsibility is to refund all payments that the customer has made to us.  All rental prices, policies and conditions are subject to change without notice.

Cleaning Service Now Available!   We are proud of the condition of our units.  We are fussy and our customers appreciate it!  They constantly tell us how impressed they are with the immaculate cleanliness of our motorhomes.  Some have requested a cleaning service so they do not have to spend vacation time cleaning their motorhome when they return.

In response, we are now pleased to offer an Optional Pre-Paid Cleaning Service for $59.  This option must be taken prior to departure.  If you prepay this fee, you can return the motorhome after your trip and we will clean the interior and exterior for you and empty the waste tanks.  This fee only covers “normal cleaning”.  It does not include “excessive cleaning”.  Extra charges will apply for abusive filth, smoking, pets, stains, paint, tree sap, road tar, excessive bugs, etc.  “Normal cleaning” that is not prepaid, tank evacuation that is not prepaid, and “excessive cleaning” is charged at a rate of $45/hour.  The average interior cleaning charge is 2½ hours.  The average exterior cleaning charge is 1½ hours.  The charge for evacuating waste tanks is ¾ hours.
